“I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I have worked in the field of mental health since 2001, starting with teens ages 13-18 and later on adding adults ages 19-80 over the years of my experience.

I have experience in helping teenagers struggling with self-image /trauma/abuse/academic stress/ low motivation and adult patients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorder, mood disorder, grief, and borderline personality disorder. I have special interest and training from UMass Amherst, MA in Transgender health care and work closely with patients needing gender-affirming care. I am also interested in helping morbidly obese patients, complete the pre-evaluation needed for the Bariatric procedures and addressing mental health barriers to successful outcomes post Bariatric procedures.

Counseling styles I commonly use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Strength Based Therapy to address interpersonal effectiveness, explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors that they would like to change, for improved daily functioning, emotional regulation, crisis management, and distress tolerance”
